The UNI ISO 45001: 2018 is the new standard which specifies requirements for a management system for Occupational Health and Safety, applicable to businesses of all sizes and types.

This standard promotes a safer working environment by increasing coherence to your occupational health and safety policy, preventing injuries and work-related diseases.

Besides taking care of your most valuable asset – the employees – it provides assurance of effective compliance to mandatory laws regarding Occupational Health and Safety.

The transition period allowed to BS-OHSAS 18001 systems to upgrade to the new standard will expire on March 12, 2021: on this date the old standard  will expire and the only reference standard for health and safety management systems will be ISO 45001.

In order for such a system to be efficient, it must be implemented and defined on the actual needs of the company, combining the real margins of safety improvement with mandatory laws and requirements.

• Decrease of accidents, injuries and occupational diseases;
• Optimization of safety management;
• Effective exemption from reputation damage and law breach
• Optimization of health and safety budget, by ensuring that resources allocated are related to the real needs of the organization;
• Compliance with the client’s certification requirements
• Improved performance and employee morale;
• Lower interest on borrowed capital and lower insurance premiums
